This policy applies to the Ventrax Navra mobile app and the Navra marketing website. Navra is operated by Ventrax Digital FZE in the United Arab Emirates. It covers registered members, guests, trip organisers, group administrators and website visitors.
Information the app collects
We collect information you provide, information created through your use of Navra and limited device data:
- Account and profile: display name, email address, profile photo, optional age range, city or region, bio and experience level. Authentication credentials are handled securely by our authentication provider.
- Garage and vehicle: vehicle details, modifications, maintenance records, odometer readings, receipts and photos you choose to add.
- Trips and community: trip details, routes, GPX files, saved waypoints, checklists, RSVPs, friendships, group and convoy membership, posts, feedback, reports and uploaded photos.
- Referral and profile sharing: who created a share link, aggregate link opens, and whether a new account joined through that link. Anonymous opens are counted without storing an IP address or device fingerprint.
- Location: precise coordinates, accuracy, speed, altitude and heading, as described in the next section.
- Subscriptions: whether you have Navra Pro, which plan, and its renewal and expiry status. Payment is handled by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details.
- OBD-II data: diagnostic codes and vehicle metrics when you choose to connect a compatible Bluetooth scanner.
- Safety and communications: an optional emergency contact, push-notification token and marketing preference.
- Diagnostics: app version and device operating system, used to deliver updates and validate purchases. The app has settings for optional analytics and crash reporting; no third-party analytics or crash-reporting service is currently connected, and if we add one we will update this policy and respect those settings.
Location and live sharing
While you use the app. Navra uses your precise location to show your position on the map, your heading, speed, altitude and coordinates, guidance to a point you choose, trail recording and local weather.
In the background, only if you allow it.If you grant the “Always” location permission, Navra can keep using your location while your screen is locked, for three things you start yourself:
- Recording a trail, so the drive keeps recording when your phone is in your pocket.
- Sharing with a convoy during an active trip session, so the other drivers in that session can see where you are.
- Sharing with friends you choose, independent of any trip, until you stop it.
iOS shows a location indicator while this is happening. If you do not grant “Always”, these features still work while Navra is open. Force-closing the app stops background location until you open it again, so Navra is not an emergency or guaranteed tracking service.
What others can see. Only your latest position is shared, with the time it was measured, never a history of where you have been. A convoy position is visible only to members of that live session. A friend share is visible only to the specific people you choose. Blocking someone immediately removes their access to your location, and removing a friend ends any location sharing between you. The live map shows who can currently see you and why, and lets you stop each share.
How long it is kept.We store one latest position per person, replaced by each update. It is hidden from everyone 15 minutes after it was last updated. It is deleted when you stop sharing with everyone, when a convoy session ends or when its trip is ended; stopping one share removes that person's access straight away. Trails you record are stored on your device unless you choose to save, upload, export or share them. Waypoints and routes you deliberately save remain until you remove them.
Bluetooth, notifications and permissions
Bluetooth is used only when you connect an OBD-II device. Notifications are used for operational messages such as trip invites, convoy and sharing updates, and reminders. You can change device permissions in iOS or Android settings and control location sharing, analytics and diagnostics from Profile → Settings → Privacy Settings.
Information from this website
The marketing website does not currently create user accounts. It uses Google Analytics to understand page visits and interactions with download, login and external links; this service may use analytics cookies. We do not send form contents or account details in these interaction events. Instagram links open Instagram only when selected; app walkthrough videos are served directly by this website. Our hosting provider may process standard technical request information, such as IP address, browser details and request timestamps, to deliver and secure the site. If you email us, we receive the details and message you choose to send and use them to answer your enquiry.
How we use information
- Provide accounts, trips, maps, navigation, garage, convoy, live sharing, recovery and community features.
- Provide and verify Navra Pro subscriptions.
- Deliver transactional messages, push notifications and support.
- Keep the service secure, investigate abuse and reports, and diagnose faults.
- Improve Navra using feedback.
- Send product and community updates only where you have opted in; every marketing email includes an unsubscribe route.
- Meet legal obligations and protect users or the public where required.
Depending on the context and the law that applies to you, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating a secure service, or a legal obligation.
When information is shared
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third-party advertisers. Information is shared only as needed:
- With other Navra members according to the feature and your choices, such as RSVP status, or your live position while you are sharing with a convoy or with friends you chose.
- Supabase for authentication, database, file storage and backend infrastructure.
- Mapbox for maps, satellite and terrain imagery and offline map downloads. Displaying a map sends map requests that include the area being viewed. The Mapbox SDK may also collect device and location-related diagnostics under Mapbox's own privacy policy; you can turn this off from the information button on the map.
- Apple and Google to process subscription payments through the App Store and Google Play.
- RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage subscription status. It receives your Navra account identifier, purchase and subscription records, and the device and app version details needed to verify them.
- Expo for push-notification delivery and app updates.
- Resend for transactional and opted-in marketing email delivery.
- Open-Meteo for weather data; an approximate location is sent without your Navra account details.
- Vercel for hosting and securing this website, and Google Analytics as described above.
- Authorities or advisers where required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.
Storage and security
App data is hosted through Supabase in the Mumbai (India) region on cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest by our infrastructure providers. Row-level access controls restrict account and location data to the people allowed to see it, and app session tokens are stored in secure device storage. No online service can promise absolute security, but we use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards and review access as the product develops.
Retention and account deletion
We retain account information while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account directly in the app or send us a verified request. Personal data is deleted within 30 days of a valid request, although in-app deletion is designed to take effect immediately. See our account deletion instructions.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel Navra Pro in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Apple, Google and RevenueCat may keep records of past purchases where they need them for billing, tax, refunds or fraud prevention.
Anonymised aggregate information may remain because it can no longer identify you. We may keep marketing consent records for up to three years for compliance. Where a trip involved other members, its existence may remain in their records without your personal details. We may also retain limited information where law, fraud prevention or dispute resolution requires it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your information; withdraw consent; object to certain processing; and complain to a relevant data-protection authority. Use the controls in Profile → Settings → Privacy Settings or email us. We aim to respond to formal requests within 30 days, or sooner where required.
International processing
Ventrax Digital is based in the UAE. App data is hosted in India, and our providers may process information in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards for cross-border processing.
Children
Navra is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Navra evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the app, email or a prominent website notice where appropriate.
